Café Rost in Mannheim

How many stickers do you have to stick on your mailbox to keep advertising out? Uncool if you ignore the wishes of your potential customers before they even have been to the restaurant! But then let's have a look: Minimum order value AND flat delivery fee! The vegan / vegetarian competition can do better!

The restaurant is one of the real veggie / vegan pearls in the area. The vegan Seitan Yufka is without a doubt the best in town. The servings are more than worth their price too. Anyone who misses schnitzel as a vegan has come to the right place. It is also very praiseworthy that most of the food was not wrapped in plastic.

Ordering in the Lockdown Light is great! Friendly staff on the phone, uncomplicated payment via PayPal, fast delivery, environmentally friendly packaging, dish of the week was very tasty. We will order again and we look forward to hopefully being able to try out the café on site soon!

Going out to a vegan cafe as an absolute meat lover might not be the best idea, but my two friends and I were pleasantly surprised. We had early wine and onion cake as well as the "Schnitzel" with fries and salad and the BBQ "Steak" burger. Although there were only a few onions on the Zeiebelkuchen, the taste was very intense and good. The "Schnitzel" and the BBQ "Steak" consisted of dried "soy flatbread", which in itself tastes like nothing and has the consistency of wet cardboard. But because of the very good seasoning, they were still edible. The portions were so big that even real men can get full and the leftovers can be packed up. There is a huge plus for the excellent background music. A playlist with the best songs from the 80s and 90s created a great atmosphere. You don't necessarily have to like the shabby chic look of the interior, but it doesn't bother (me) too much either. Only the coffee was really bad. Too thin and hardly any taste and that wasn't because of the vegan milk. I would prefer a non vegan place to this cafe, but it wasn't as bad as expected.

The food is an absolute dream! Service also super friendly. Kudos to the cook and the baker, you do your job more than well. We'll be going out to eat here very often and I'm already looking forward to it ?

Every now and then we enjoy having lunch there with a good friend, service totally friendly and courteous, you feel totally at home and even if you are not a vegetarian or vegan, the Schnipso is absolutely great. Gladly again

The veggie burgers and the fries they come with are absolutely amazing! The prices are unbeatable, and the people working there are super friendly. We had our food "to-go" and they packed it in paper and not plastic ? Absolute must try!

Since we were in Mannheim for work, we were looking for a place to have dinner together. My colleagues were so kind to love something vegan for love and so I followed the reviews and we ended up in the Cafe Rost. The cafe definitely deserves the top ratings. It is super cozy and lovingly designed, the two waitresses as well as the chef simply blew us away with their friendliness. We happily ordered and after the first spoon my colleague looked at me in shock "oh oh, are there nuts in there ?!" The young man behind the counter immediately went to the kitchen to find out and asked us if there were any allergic reactions. Shortly afterwards, the chef and recipe stood next to us and could tell us exactly what was in the soup. I've never seen anything like it. Simply an overwhelming service! Later we were invited for a schnapps and an espresso (try the homemade pepper!) And we didn't even have to pay for the soup. Of course, I rounded it up anyway, because I was just amazed at how lovingly everyone looked after my colleague! Besides that, we also had super delicious food! My non-vegan colleagues were just as impressed as I was. Definitely worth a visit! Edit: the brownies ??

This place is amazing!! I was there tonight with my kiddos for the first time and we had a delicious meal and dessert. The food was incredible and my son absolutely loved the focaccia sandwich! The staff is friendly and welcoming and they are really kid-friendly. They have a changing table and highchairs. We'll definitely be back!!

Eat a delicious chili sin carne. ? here are vegan delicacies for a small price on luck small card u every 2 days changes the lunch. fr-so instead burgerday plus menu. vegan ice cream is also available in summer ?? easy alternative environment, guests u staff. pleasant atmosphere? So far, every one of my people was satisfied, which I took with me keep it up ... ???????

Here is the price-performance ratio. The service is very friendly and accommodating. Choice of food could be a bit bigger. The ambiance is a bit bleak ... but there are also some outdoor seating.

The cafe is very cosy and a great place to meet up with people. The food and drinks are really nice. A little more table service would be good though
